The Mask Slips...

The mask has slipped.

During his recent speech in Dover, Keir Starmer may have pretended he wants to see illegal immigration under control. But in practice, he’d make the UK the world’s asylum capital – and undo the hard work this government has done on stopping the boats and clearing the asylum backlog.

1) Labour would create a migrant amnesty

Letting thousands of illegal migrants, who shouldn’t be here, stay in the UK indefinitely.

2) Labour would end the Rwanda Scheme

Even though it’s already working to deter people crossing the Channel.

3) They’ll allow tens of thousands of claims to be lodged outside the UK

Undoing the progress we've made at clearing the asylum backlog.

4) They’ll do a deal with the EU – one which won’t Stop the Boats

In which they’ll agree to take 100,000 asylum seekers every year from EU countries – making the UK the dumping ground of Europe.

Labour have revealed they’d just make things worse.

As a reminder, this government has seen boat crossings fall 36% since 2022, while they’re up 80% across the rest of Europe.

We’ve passed the Safety of Rwanda Act, meaning deportation flights will start this summer.

We’ve cleared the asylum backlog from 92,000 to less than 5,000 cases.

We’ve done all of this despite the Labour Party, the Liberal Democrats and the ‘human rights lawyers’ trying to block us at every step of the way.

Labour would turn the UK into the asylum capital of the world.
