Become a Member

As a member of the Conservative Party, you’ll play a vital part in the work that we do.

For £25 a year (or £5 a year if you are 22 or under) you can vote for the Party Leader and help choose our candidates for elections to Parliament and local government. You’ll also be invited to attend our annual dinner each November.

But there are other important benefits too.

You’ll get to help win back the parliamentary seat. You’ll get to play a vital role in ensuring that Canterbury City council continues to benefit from a Conservative administration. You’ll also get to help safeguard the great work already achieved by conservatives in Canterbury District.

What ways can you help?

It could be writing letters, sharing information on social media, or joining others for campaign sessions.

It could be helping with fundraising events, helping with research, or even shaping party policy. It can also mean standing as a local council candidate.

There are no limits to what you can get involved with.

Joining the Conservatives is about what you want to make it. Not only will you have your say. You get to play a part in improving your local area.

If you are interested in becoming a member click the button on the left of this page.

Make a Donation

We want to end the ‘big donor culture’ in British politics, so that political parties don’t depend on large donations from trade unions, business or individuals. We also want to avoid asking taxpayers to foot the bill for politics. That means we rely on financial support from people like you. However much or little you can give will be put to good use helping to support our campaigning efforts.

If you would like to make a donation simply click the donation button on the left of this page.

Become a Councillor

Becoming a Councillor is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

Not only does it give you the chance to help your local community, you will gain some useful skills such as public speaking and problem solving.

New Councillors bring fresh ideas, and fresh enthusiasm to local politics. That’s why the local Association is always on the lookout for Conservatives who wish to stand for election.

No experience is necessary, just the desire to work hard to serve your local community.
