Check your payslip - here's why

Today marks the first payday of the year for millions of people across the country.

And the first payday since our tax cuts came into effect.

Have you noticed anything different on your payslip? For 27 million working people across the country, taxes are now lower than in December. That means an average worker on £35,000 a year will be £450 better off than they would otherwise be.This is possible now because of the progress we made last year: halving inflation from 11.1% to 4%, seeing wages rise faster than prices, and getting out economy to outperform countries like Germany.

And Labour would put that all at risk.

Keir Starmer can't say how he'd fund his £28 billion spending spree because he doesn’t have a plan to pay for it - and that can only mean higher taxes. This would tear up all the progress we’ve made on the economy and take us back to square one.

Whether these changes to your payslip stick beyond 2024 is down to you - VOTE CONSERVATIVE.

Please sign-up on Canterbury | Conservatives (canterburyconservatives.org.uk) if you would like to volunteer and help deliver leaflets in the road/area where you live.
