Stop Overdevelopment in Chestfield
The Conservatives are standing up against mass overdevelopment in our villages — starting with Chestfield.
Plans for 1,350 homes at Brooklands Farm and another 300 at Bodkin Farm would double the size of the village, swamp local roads, and put impossible pressure on surgeries, water and sewerage.
This isn’t “sustainable growth” — it’s suburban sprawl forced on us by a council chasing government targets, not listening to local people.
We back affordable, local homes where infrastructure exists — not bulldozing green fields to dump thousands of houses into communities that can’t cope.
We believe development must be:
- Led by local needs
- Built in the right places — not just the easiest ones to concrete over
