You won't hear this from us very often.
But it looks like the Labour government might have done the right thing.
Keir has followed Kemi's advice, and announced a plan to increase defence spending to 2.5% of GDP. Funded in part by cutting overseas aid.
At a time of increasing global uncertainty, it's right that we ensure our own defence is properly funded before we look after the rest of the world.
BUT.
The devil is in the detail.
The Prime Minister claimed yesterday that defence spending was increasing by £13.4 billion. But his Defence Secretary said it was going up by £6 billion. Which one is it?
Labour's numbers aren't adding up. You can watch Kemi demand details from Keir here.
It's also vital that our armed forces aren't the victims of another one of Rachel Reeves' accounting tricks.
It has been rumoured that Labour's £18 billion Chagos surrender deal will come out of the defence budget.
Which, if true, would mean Labour aren't really spending all this money more on our defence.
But instead on virtue signalling to rich London lawyers.
And when Kemi asked Keir whether this was the case, Keir, as usual, avoided giving an honest answer.
