Grace is standing to represent Whitstable, Seasalter and Yorkletts in the Kent County Council division of Whitstable West.
She has a background in the charity sector working for a health charity spanning roles in communications, policy and fundraising with strong experience in campaigning in the best interests of others so she will be ready to fight your corner as a local representative.
Grace has an interest in looking after the environment and recently completed a Natural Sciences degree with the Open University in her spare time. She also volunteers for a local wildlife park and enjoys attending beach cleans and litter picks.
A keen footballer and an archery enthusiast, Grace also likes to explore our wonderful area on walks with her partner and retired greyhound, Buddy.
Here are some of her priorities for Whitstable West but please complete her local questionnaire or get in touch as she is keen to hear your views:
Keeping Whitstable moving
We need effective traffic management and pothole repair. We must ensure that utility works cannot gridlock Whitstable without notice unless it is a real emergency. Grace will support the system already set up with the Town’s traders to report issues and communicate with residents and businesses, which is already helping to minimise disruption.
Infrastructure to support development
Development must only be in the right places, balanced with the required infrastructure so that local services are not under pressure due to housing demand. We need to manage flood risk and our waste water system must be modernised rapidly to remove the blight ofsewage in our seas and streams.
Education provision for local children
Grace will champion our children and young people by supporting our schools and local education services.
