Canterbury 2025 Constituency Survey

Canterbury North

Kent County Council under the Conservative leadership has adeptly managed to protect Kent and its services. It has not gone bust like some other Councils or been forced to raise Council taxes above 5% like many others. The Conservative Councillors have fought hard to provide social care services which are not funded by central government at a time of increasing costs. The Conservative Councillors have also successfully stood up for the residents in Kent against central government for its too high housing targets. They have ensured that asylum seekers are moved on out of the county and spread around the country. They have stood with us during Covid through the Kent Together programme when they protected the vulnerable and gave financial grants to businesses to keep going. KCC has the best and lowest cost children's services. And the Conservative Councillors remain ambitious for Kent residents, for their prosperity and jobs.

Hilary Scott is a hard working community volunteer who is Chair of The Aphra Behn Society of Canterbury, set up to encourage more visitors to Canterbury and a flood warden. She has been a Parish Councillor,  School Governor and  worked for a children's education charity, Invicta National Academy during covid. She will be a strong voice for residents and wants to hear your views.
